The Client wanted to conduct an Environmental and Social Compliance Audit for Public Private Partnership of a City Hospital.
We were responsible for:
Providing an environmental and social compliance audit review of the Project documents, including environmental impact assessment (“Environmental Impact Assessment” or “EIA”), international environmental and social impact assessment (“Environmental and Social Impact Assessment” or “ESIA”), environmental and social management plan (“Environmental and Social Management Plan” or “ESMP”) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) against Turkish law, and EBRD performance requirements.
Developing an environmental social action plan for the Project that included necessary measures to avoid, minimize or mitigate any adverse change in environmental conditions and impacts on public health and safety (the “Project Environmental and Social Action Plan” or “Project ESAP”) to assess compliance with and identify any gaps to the Lenders’ requirements and to comment if such action plan and suggested mitigation measures are compliant with Turkish laws, and EBRD PRs
Providing professional opinions on the quality of the environmental and social impact assessment work being carried out by the independent environmental and social consultants on the Project
Co-ordinating the communication among the Project Company, Lenders and the independent environmental and social consultants in relation to the progress of the environmental and social impact assessment work.
Proving feedback on the compliance of the design, construction and maintenance with the EBRD Performance Requirements and a rating for the Project.
